Landon Wedding :: The Guys

September 29, 2009

Welcome to the blog gentlemen! Blog readers, I would like to introduce you to the gentlemen of the Landon wedding. While I was hanging out with the girls at the Plaster residence, Michael was hanging out at Pirates Cove with the guys! Arghhh! (sorry, that was pitiful, but my best pirate imitation!) No, there were no real pirates unfortunately (or maybe that is fortunate, depends on your relationship with pirates…) Anyway, on to the pictures!

Ethan, one of JD’s childhood friends, got JD a great oil painting as a gift.

Personalized cuff links, such a great detail! Brides, I know you have a lot to think about but it is the little things, the personalized things, that will make your wedding, “Your Wedding”. Not just the same wedding your guests went to last weekend. By the way, the W is for Whitney (in case you missed other posts about this wedding) and the other one was a J for his name.

Lookin’ sharp!

And sassy? haha I saw this and started cracking up! Along with all the other pictures they took with these glasses!

Love this next shot of the guys, great job Michael!

You guys are lucky you had Michael with you, had I known this was going on… well, it wouldn’t have gone on. Call me a stick in the mud, but I would rather not have to tell the bride her groom has a concussion! I am sure everyone was safe… hopefully…

Up next, the ceremony! It was beautiful and I CAN’T wait to show it to you!

Have a great day,

Landon Wedding :: The Girls

September 25, 2009

This is the first installment from the Landon wedding. There are so many pictures I want to show you I have to split it up into a few posts! Last weekend  JD and Whitney had a beautiful wedding in Annapolis, MD. If you have never been there, go now! It is a beautiful town on the Chesapeake Bay, full of charm and Naval Academy students (and if you’re like me, and enjoy a man in uniform, you will enjoy the view, although my favorite man in uniform is Michael in his soccer uniform! Love you Bub!) As you already know, our friend Shannon hooked us up with Whitney and JD and we were thrilled to shoot their wedding. The Plasters and Landons made us feel like family, they are so warm that when you meet them, you feel like you have known them for years!

Without further adieu, here are my pictures from my time with the girls!

Whitney’s dress was beautiful! I had a fun time photographing it!

Whitney and her mom getting their make-up finished. I had SUCH a great time hanging out with the Plasters!

Everyone was so calm and cool, just relaxed and ready for the wedding.

In her beautiful dress! The straps on this dress were stunning, girls, take a look, if you have to wear straps for your wedding, do it like this! The straps were wide in the front, skinny in the back and absolutely beautiful! I don’t know Whitney that well, but as we were driving to Annapolis, Michael said, “I bet her dress is form fitting and simple, but classy.” A great prediction that came true. Whitney was the picture of elegance which you will see in the next picture.

Gorgeous!! The Plasters home was filled with beautiful light that I totally took advantage of! I had Whitney all over the place, this one is my favorite. (not of the whole day, I haven’t decided on that one yet)

Whitney’s ring. If I remember right, it is an antique from Turkey… right? Well, where ever it was from, it was beautiful.

Landon_blog_3

Oh the shoes! Girls, if you are getting married, PLEASE wear fabulous shoes! Whitney was so excited about these shoes and when she showed them to me, so was I! So sexy!

Landon_Blog_5

Her bouquet, that she made! How fabulous!

Landon_Blog_4

More shoes, love them!

Landon_Blog_2

All the girls in the mega-golfcart! It was great! The Plasters rented this to cart guests to and from the party, some people had to park half a mile away so it was a great treat!

Landon_Blog_11

Girls, you are beautiful!

Landon_Blog_9

What a perfect day to start your wedding day, hanging out with your favorite girls!

Landon_Blog_15

Pretty girls in a pretty yard with pretty trees! Loved it!

Landon_Blog_10

Well, that’s it for the girls side! Keep checking back for the guys, the ceremony, and the party!

P.S.: Esther, please don’t think I forgot about your amazing Zumba skillz! I just decided not to post the pictures, you can thank me later! haha

Fire Hydrant Friday: Lima, Peru

September 25, 2009

From time to time I will have friends and family send me some pictures of fire hydrants that they have taken. So I am going to add some of these to the fire hydrant friday’s as well. This one comes from my favorite mother-in-law when they were on a recent missions trip to Lima, Peru. Skinny little guy isn’t he?

Lax Album

September 23, 2009

KISS did a wonderful job once again with this album. It is an 8×8 black leather custom designed album. I love how colorful the whole design and wedding was so I decided to shoot it on a very colorful quilt. Enjoy. Oh and by the way black is not the only color that these come in (more on that later).
