Valerio Wedding

June 30, 2009

So, you have already met Amy, and when I say met, I mean you have seen her bridal portraits in a recent post. Remember her? She was the beautiful one… what am I saying… all of our brides have been/are beautiful so that wouldn’t narrow it down for you but Amy is the only Beautiful Bride you have seen portraits of on our blog!

Amy and Mike… what a cute couple! These two were so relaxed, so ready to get married they were a breeze to shoot! They had a gorgeous day (and by gorgeous i mean so sweltering hot that we couldn’t take pictures out side! Darn you Georgia!) Just kidding about that last part… I really do enjoy the great state of Georgia, just not when I have a wedding to shoot and it is over 100 degrees and crazy humid!

Anyway, besides it being really hot (both outside and inside for a little…) we had a great time with Amy and Mike and their friends and families! We (more me than Michael, just because I get more excited over these things) were excited to learn that Mike and his family are from Philly! I mean HELLOOO!!! “Valerio” + Eagles Fan= Philadelphian, an Italian Philadelphian at that! Basically you can subtract the Italian part and still be a Philadelphian… that’s just how it is, as long as you’re an Eagles fan we will let you in!

That’s enough from me… Enjoy!

Oh- and if you’re not married yet… I highly recommend having a wedding planner, or a wedding day coordinator! Amy had one. Let me tell you she was the best!! She knew what was happening, where, how and when! What a great resource! We didn’t have to ask Amy one thing all day! PS- if you need a coordinator and already have a photographer, I would love to help you with that too!

Loved her “I Do” shoes! Of course she does!!

Again, I have to say it, what a beautiful bride!

Everyone thought so, not just me! I love this shot (not just because I took it…) I just love seeing how everyone loves the bride and I love how you can see Amy’s face too! L.O.V.E.  I.T.!

We fell in love with Little Alex, he loved the camera and cheesing it up! What a cutie he was, entertaining everyone all day!

Beautiful cake! and yummy too! I usually don’t eat the cake because we are busy but the wedding planner told me it was a secret family recipe and that I had to try it… I had to… so I did! and it was great!

And the Groom’s Cake! Go Eagles!

Mike and Amy, your wedding was beautifully fabulous! hope you’re having a great time on your honeymoon and I pray you will have a wonderful life together! Enjoy every minute of it!

Well everyone, that’s all for today! Hope you have a great rest of the week and a great 4th of July!

I like to see this hydrant as a night-time creature coming out for hunting. Maybe a raccoon or some other nighttime creature that came out to prowl. Okay the real story: Some friends and I were at college and didn’t have a car. SO we decided to walk to get some pizza and this little fella was spotted on the way. And since at that time I always had my little Pentax Optio (you know the one that fit in an altoids can), I quickly snapped this shot with full flash. Not a great picture but the ones that nighttime cameras catch of critters aren’t either.

Amy :: Bridal

June 24, 2009

Hello again! Time for some more pictures! I know you are all on the edge of your seat… so excited… I understand. It will be ok, pictures are coming!

This past weekend we shot Amy and Mike’s wedding down in Grayson, GA. A few weeks before that, we took some bridal pictures of Amy in her dress and since then we have been dying to show them to you! (seriously dying we are so excited) We had a blast with Amy at her bridal shoot and a blast with her and her family and friends on her wedding day! Seriously, you all were so much fun to hang out with all day, we can’t wait to show you the wedding pictures either!

So, as I sit here at work (Shh, don’t tell anyone I blog at work… well, hey if the phone gets answered does it really matter?) I keep thinking about how beautiful Amy was, both at her shoot at on her wedding day! She was perfectly classic.

See! I told you! Beautiful, classic bride!

Love how Michael edited this one.

P.S.- Michael took all of these so I am totally tooting his horn! He did a fabulous job!

Umm… so pretty!

We loved the light in here… we also loved having Lindsay stand on the pews with flash and diffuser in hand because you can’t carry light stands on the plane!

amy_bridal-171

Last one… just simple beauty!! Thanks for the great shots Amy! We hope you love them!

amy_bridal-24

Like I said, (like a million time) Amy was just such a classic bride we didn’t have any trouble getting some great shots!

Keep checking back for Amy and Mikes wedding post! Hopefully later this week!

Have a great Wednesday!

This is one of my first fire hydrant pictures. Not a whole lot of thought or vision in this one but the colors and symmetry are kinda neat. This was taken in the home town of my aunt who has been a huge supporter of my photographic journey.

Kate :: Sr. Portraits

Ok! Wow! I am going to give you some time to recover from that first image…

Ready? Great! This past Saturday we spent the morning with Kate and her mom and sister at a local park to take her senior pictures! We had great weather, just the right amount of sun and clouds with a nice cool breeze! Kate was great to shoot, very cooperative and easy going!

She is a great athlete so we had to take a few in her jersey and with her basket ball. funny story… Michael had me get on his shoulders to take this pic! It was a little tricky, but worth it!

kate_sr-11

Ok Pretty girl alert! Love this one!

kate_sr-10

Love this one too! I just can’t choose a favorite!

kate_sr-9

From most feedback I have heard from these pictures, everyone seems to like the contrast between Kate and the tree here. I think it works pretty well too!

kate_sr-8

I took this next one… I love it, Kate just looks so pretty and relaxed! Not to toot my own horn or anything… (toot toot)

I took this with my 50mm/1.2, my lens lover. I love it so much I would marry it, but only if I wasn’t married to Michael first! Love the blurred background I get with the lens!

kate_sr-7

kate_sr-1

love this mischievous smile… what are you up to Kate?

kate_sr-4

Way to be adventurous Kate! Michael gets a little crazy sometimes, but I think the end results make it totally worth it! Thanks for getting your feet wet!

kate_sr-3

Seniors, it’s that time! Time to get your picture taken! It is so much fun! Just ask Kate! We had fun and we think she had fun too! Contact us to set up a time this summer! Space is filling up!

Hope you all have a great day and rest of the week! Be looking for Fire Hydrant Friday! We are headed to Atlanta again this weekend for Amy’s wedding, come back next week to see Amy’s bridal portraits! We have been itching to show you them, but obviously we can’t till after her big day this Saturday!
