Jalene :: Sr. Portraits

September 1, 2009

Oh Jalene, you are so pretty! I can’t believe your mom told us you were nervous for your senior pictures!! Jalene is a senior this year and needed her pictures taken… we were happy to oblige as we are sort of related… Jalene’s older sister is married to Michael’s older brother… And just a side note Andrew and Jenalyn, we miss you guys! Anyway, seeing as we are sort of related would also explain why we shot Jalene’s older sister and older brother’s senior pictures and maybe some day her younger brother, we are pretty sure he will graduate…haha just kidding Jaron!

Ok, after that history lesson you are probably bored to tears, here comes the gorgeousness!

No, Jalene is not super tiny, she is normal size, that is just a huge tire! Thanks for getting dirty for us Jalene!

Work it out girl! So pretty! We were being threatened by some rain clouds but thankfully the wet stuff held off!

Michael thought we should include some pretty pictures of the farm we were at. It was Jalene’s older sister, Jynell’s old house… I know, I know I am killing you with the family history lessons!

Well, as of right now that is our last Sr. of the year! But there is still time! Let us know if you still need/want to get you senior pictures taken!

Have a great rest of the week, I am battling a cold/throat thing so that makes answering the phone all day, but it could be worse!

Chris :: Sr. Portraits

August 20, 2009

About a week ago we shot Chris’ Sr. portraits at a local park. He was an awesome subject and was great at smiling. As a side note: us guys aren’t too fond of having swans in our Sr. portraits but fortunately for Chris you can hardly see them.

Amy :: Bridal

June 24, 2009

Hello again! Time for some more pictures! I know you are all on the edge of your seat… so excited… I understand. It will be ok, pictures are coming!

This past weekend we shot Amy and Mike’s wedding down in Grayson, GA. A few weeks before that, we took some bridal pictures of Amy in her dress and since then we have been dying to show them to you! (seriously dying we are so excited) We had a blast with Amy at her bridal shoot and a blast with her and her family and friends on her wedding day! Seriously, you all were so much fun to hang out with all day, we can’t wait to show you the wedding pictures either!

So, as I sit here at work (Shh, don’t tell anyone I blog at work… well, hey if the phone gets answered does it really matter?) I keep thinking about how beautiful Amy was, both at her shoot at on her wedding day! She was perfectly classic.

See! I told you! Beautiful, classic bride!

Love how Michael edited this one.

P.S.- Michael took all of these so I am totally tooting his horn! He did a fabulous job!

Umm… so pretty!

We loved the light in here… we also loved having Lindsay stand on the pews with flash and diffuser in hand because you can’t carry light stands on the plane!

amy_bridal-171

Last one… just simple beauty!! Thanks for the great shots Amy! We hope you love them!

amy_bridal-24

Like I said, (like a million time) Amy was just such a classic bride we didn’t have any trouble getting some great shots!

Keep checking back for Amy and Mikes wedding post! Hopefully later this week!

Have a great Wednesday!

Kate :: Sr. Portraits

Ok! Wow! I am going to give you some time to recover from that first image…

Ready? Great! This past Saturday we spent the morning with Kate and her mom and sister at a local park to take her senior pictures! We had great weather, just the right amount of sun and clouds with a nice cool breeze! Kate was great to shoot, very cooperative and easy going!

She is a great athlete so we had to take a few in her jersey and with her basket ball. funny story… Michael had me get on his shoulders to take this pic! It was a little tricky, but worth it!

Ok Pretty girl alert! Love this one!

kate_sr-10

Love this one too! I just can’t choose a favorite!

kate_sr-9

From most feedback I have heard from these pictures, everyone seems to like the contrast between Kate and the tree here. I think it works pretty well too!

kate_sr-8

I took this next one… I love it, Kate just looks so pretty and relaxed! Not to toot my own horn or anything… (toot toot)

I took this with my 50mm/1.2, my lens lover. I love it so much I would marry it, but only if I wasn’t married to Michael first! Love the blurred background I get with the lens!

kate_sr-7

kate_sr-1

love this mischievous smile… what are you up to Kate?

kate_sr-4

Way to be adventurous Kate! Michael gets a little crazy sometimes, but I think the end results make it totally worth it! Thanks for getting your feet wet!

kate_sr-3

Seniors, it’s that time! Time to get your picture taken! It is so much fun! Just ask Kate! We had fun and we think she had fun too! Contact us to set up a time this summer! Space is filling up!

Hope you all have a great day and rest of the week! Be looking for Fire Hydrant Friday! We are headed to Atlanta again this weekend for Amy’s wedding, come back next week to see Amy’s bridal portraits! We have been itching to show you them, but obviously we can’t till after her big day this Saturday!

Andrew

February 27, 2009

This shoot was a very quick in and out job. I needed some pictures of a musician playing a musical instrument in a personal residence for a project I was working on. So I called some friends to help out; the house belongs to the Vazquez family (from Wednesday’s post) and the guitar player is my friend from college, Andrew (who happens to be an amazing guitar player).

All the pictures were taken with natural light, provided by the doors and windows along the one wall. I love the look of this large side light because it really makes the scene dramatic. Thank you to the Vazquez’s and Andrew for helping me out.
