Hello again! Blogging two days in a row… I know you are starting to get excited! Well, this is an exciting post so I am glad you are already excited!

As you can see from the title of the post, my sister is engaged, and since this is so late in getting on the blog, she is also already married! But those pictures will be up in the near future! So, Randy (my sister’s man) set up a whole evening at the ball park (The Allentown Iron Pigs) for him and Casey. Randy had secretly set up to have us all at the park, me (Lindsay), Michael, my parents, Casey’s daughter Katelin, Randy’s parents, and Randy’s daughter Kaylyn. (Yes, they now have daughters Katelin and Kaylyn… and they have the same birthday… weird…glad I don’t live in that house… it is confusing enough when they all come to visit!) Anyway, Randy had also arranged for the ‘Kiss Cam’ to come over to him and Casey in between the 3rd and 4th innings. But instead of it being the ‘Kiss Cam’ it said ‘Will you marry me?’ How cute is that! So, Casey and Randy got engaged on June 4th and married on July 10th! A 5 week engagement! We had a blast planning her wedding and I can’t wait to show you all of those pictures too! On to the ‘engagement pictures’!

My cute parents!

There it is on the big screen! It is a little hard to see but it says “Casey, will you marry me?”

She said yes!!

I don’t remember exactly what this says, something about Casey and Randy and happiness…

Then we watched some great fireworks… that we like to think were for Casey and Randy’s engagement… and we are going to keep thinking that! haha

I would like to formally introduce you all to Andrew and Soo. They are a super cute and super smart couple who found us through a friend (thanks Ben!). We had a blast hanging out with them all day a few Saturdays ago at their Alma Mater, Lehigh University. I have driven past the campus, but never walked it! Let me tell you, it is beautiful! It is also on a giant hill, we got a great leg workout just walking around the campus for one day, I can’t imagine the shape my legs would be in after spending 4 years there!

So, Andrew and Soo were great planners for this day, they had  everything worked out. We were able to get into buildings, on to the preforming arts stage, and sneak around the library. It was a wonderful day, a little chilly and a little windy, but we got some great shots!

On to the pictures!

I love libraries, so when I heard there were two we would be taking pictures at, I was so excited! These first two are from the newer library. How cute are Andrew and Soo?  I can totally picture them actually doing this! That’s the way to study right?

andrewSoo01

Ahh… love on a windy day, Andrew is so sweet with Soo, I think he is going to make an excellent husband, Soo, I am sure you agree!

Ok, here come the ones from the older library, and with an outfit change, I totally thought we jumped into an Anthropologie or J. Crew photo shoot!! Hello, old books, can I be your friend? Thanks, feel free to come over to my house anytime, bring your friends too, the more old books the merrier!! And hello! Check out that stained glass dome! Stunning! The one on the right is Michael’s favorite.

andrewSoo04

This one might be my favorite, when I saw the glass window I had a vision, and this turned out better than I expected! Love it!

AndrewSoo-183

The sun peeked through the clouds for a few moments while we were near a beautiful cherry blossom tree! And, I really do like other shoes, not just red shoes…

Hello beautiful sunshine! I could have shot here all day! This one might be my favorite too…

Ben & Brittney :: Engaged

January 7, 2010

Here they are, as promised… a little late, but hey, better late than never right? Brittney and Ben are no longer engaged, they are married!! Woo hoo! We did a quick shoot for our friends the week before their wedding due to all of our crazy schedules and I think we got some really great shots. It was super cold so we were juggling coats and scarves to try to keep them warm in between each shot. I was really excited to shoot in Phoenixville, it has such a cute downtown area that is really growing!

Love Brittney’s ring! It looks even better now with her custom designed, by her hubby, wedding band!

Spears_09_05-blog

Ok, how cute are these two? I will tell you, super cute!

Love the shoes Brit! I will tell you, I was surprised when I saw you wearing them! But they were a great choice!

I saw this mural and I had to have it. I love geography and I love maps so this shot had to happen!

Love, love, love this old movie theater. The minute we asked Brittney and Ben to go sit over there a movie let out and there were people everywhere! We had to wait a few minutes but I think we got a pretty cute shot!

Love this last one. They just seem so peaceful together! Remember this moment guys, in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, remember the quiet moments together!

So, that was a quick look at our quick shoot of Brittney and Ben!

Have a great week, it’s almost Friday!

Ben & Brittany :: Engaged

December 17, 2009

Woah! We have been bad bloggers lately! Sorry for the lack of posting! We have been super busy with family pictures, engagement pictures and meeting up with future brides. No excuses though, just pictures!

A few weeks ago, actually before Thanksgiving, we met up with our friends Ben and Brittany to take some engagement pictures! These two are just too cute! They are so fun and happy, we just had a blast taking their pictures! For the second time this fall we headed to Valley Forge National Park and I think you would never know that the two shoots were at the same place!

Anyway, on to the pictures! Michael grabbed this first one and I love it, that is why it is first!

britnbenbrown2009-37

I snagged this one, love it too! Like I said, they are just too cute!

britnbenbrown2009-26

Cue music… “Can you feel the love tonight?” Ok, it was the afternoon, but still, you can feel the love!

benbrit02

Michael took this great shot of Brittany’s ring, it is so pretty, the picture and the ring!

britnbenbrown2009-19

Sometimes, I wish I had pictures of Michael and I like the pictures I take of people… We have great engagement pics but sometimes I just want more! We can model for ourselves right? haha

britnbenbrown2009-12

Hello wonderful light! I love the fall!

benbrit01

And one more, I am gonna say it again, so if your sick of hearing it, look away! These two are just so cute!!

britnbenbrown2009-06

Well, that’s all folks! (whoa, flashback to those old cartoons… weird)

See you soon with more pictures, some families to show you after the holidays, and believe it or not, another Brit and Ben engagement session… different people, same name, very confusing! haha

Have a great day!

Andrew & Brittany :: Engaged

November 16, 2009

Hey All! We sure have had a busy couple of weeks! Last weekend we took engagement pictures for Michael’s good friend Andrew and his fiance Brittany. We had a fabulous time trekking through Valley Forge Park and surrounding areas to get some great shots of them! Andrew and Brittany are too cute and we had a great time getting trying to get natural smiles out of them. My joke skills were seriously tested!

We are super excited for their wedding in May, Michael will be in the wedding as one of Andrew’s groomsmen and I will be shooting! What fun!

On to the best part… the pictures!

We started off at Heebner Park in Skippack for some fun tennis shots, we got some great goofy ones but I love these two serious ones! Way to be natural with that tennis racket Andrew!

tripp his hers3

Brittany’s beautiful engagement ring, which still doesn’t fit because her fingers are too skinny!

tripp_024

I tried to keep these in order, but they aren’t quite, and I like it that way! We stopped near some train tracks in the park and got these next few shots.

tripp his hers6

I absolutely love the tension in this shot! Not any negative tension between the two of them, but the visual tension between Andrew and Britt’s fingers!

tripp_051

Michael grabbed this shot and I love it!

tripp_117

Next, we trekked (and I mean trekked, I almost died) out to this old dead tree that Andrew and Britt had found while they were out scooter pootin’ (if your from the south you will know what that means… if not, Scooter Pootin’: verb. to ride around in ones car, not really doing anything but haning out. Origin: The south, please use with discretion in the North, people will look at you funny. Now ya know!) How cute is it that? They went searching for good locations! Great job guys, you found some great ones!

The one on the left is Michaels and the right is mine. I love just taking some shots of the environments we take pictures in! It is usually just as pretty as our subjects!

tripp his hers5

My shot on left, Michael’s on the right.

tripp his hers2

I think this one is our favorite! We both love it! How romantic! Perfect late afternoon light and a romantic dip! Andrew, make sure to do this a lot on your wedding day!

tripp_040

Michael’s on the left, mine on the right. Michael thinks his looks like an Abercrombie & Fitch add, what do you think?

tripp his hers1

Love this one on the left that Michael got and the cotton plants that were all around. That is cotton right? I think it looks like cotton.

tripp his hers7

Next stop, the arch at Valley Forge, this was where Andrew told Brittany that he loved her! How romantic that we got to take some engagement pictures there!

tripp his hers4

Oh wait… wait right there… I know I said  the one of the romantic dip was my favorite but I am going to have to say this is more of my favorite! love this light, the colors, the love! Just a great photograph if you ask me! Michael grabbed this one and I am jealous!

tripp_148

Right now, as we look at pictures of Michael and I taking pictures, I would like to welcome back an old friend that I havent seen in almost a year! A whole year with out this friend, it has been hard with out her… Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to my ponytail! My hair is just getting long enough (barely long enough) so that I can wear it in a ponytail again and I forgot how much I missed it. Nope, that is not true, I knew how much I missed it, I missed it a whole lot! I loved my post wedding chop but I am so ready for my ponytails! I lived in them before I got my hair cut and I am so excited for their return! Welcome back rubber bands! (and good bye to the evil machine we call a blow dryer, except for special occasions…) Can you see it? My ponytail? look closely, it is there, I promise!

tripp_2009-74

Michael up on a bench!

tripp_2009-28

We spent quite a bit of time at this tree, enough for both of us to get a shot of the other taking pictures! And we had better stay there a long time, I needed to recover from the treck out there! haha I am pretty sure there were deadly animals in the field we walked through, you never know, snakes… rats… other deadly small creatures that live in a field… hey, it was scary at the time!

tripp him her

Well, that is all folks! We had a blast with Andrew and Brittany and we are looking forward to their wedding! We are glad we got to capture so many special moments for them.

Make sure to check out our Facebook this week for a fun giveaway!

Have a great rest of your week!
