Last weekend we had the pleasure of meeting Alison and Raf. These two are expecting their first baby boy very soon and were were lucky to capture some pictures of them before they became a family of three. If you remember, last weekend was when Hurricane Irene hit our area. Irene squashed our plans of an outdoor shoot, but we decided to brave the storm (it was only lightly raining when we got there) and take some indoor pictures. Alison and Raf are going to be great parents and we are really looking forward to meeting their little boy! Along with being great parents, they are also great decorators, their nursery is super cute!

If you know me outside of this photography blog, you know I love to decorate and re-decorate my house. This week I decided I was bored with the curtains in our living room. We have recently re-done the whole living room and I was feeling that the new curtains just weren’t cutting it for me. I like the fabric and they did work, and they definitely fit in the budget (made by me, fabric from ikea), but something just wasn’t working for me.

So, here are the old curtains, the before.

They are nice and all, just not working it enough, I really needed them to pull a little more weight around here, be a little more dramatic. So, Inspired by pinterest and this pin specifically…

I took a quick trip to Joann’s, changed up the color to add some warmth, and I came up with this:

What do you think? I am IN LOVE. They are adding the perfect amount of drama and pop against our grey walls.

And I think Sadie likes them too…

No, no, they didn’t have a Christmas in July theme, their wedding was actually in December and the fact that I am blogging it now shows how far behind I am in blogging…

You will remember Bob and Ellen from their family shoot, along with their cute little guy who was in bed for most of the wedding! These two had one of the most beautiful weddings we have shot at a historic mansion in Doylestown PA, the Aldie Mansion.  Ellen also worked with one of my favorite florists, The Enchanted Florist in Skippack, PA. On to the pictures!

The church they got married in was just beautiful. Bonus for Christmas time weddings, they had to do very little decorating and everything was perfect!

Loved the balcony at the mansion. So pretty for pictures!

Did I mention that the mansion is gorgeous? Yea, it was.

Well, now that Ellen and Bob have been married for six months or more, you all have the privilege of seeing some of their pictures! It was a beautiful wedding!

Here is just one from last night. The lighting was beautiful during their first dance on the patio at sunset.

Wow, do you remember us? Well, I am getting back to blogging and I am pretty excited about it. I have so much to share with you all!

This session was a blast mainly because we are great friends with the people in the pictures. We took a nice evening at the park and grabbed some family pictures for their newly expanded family. We love these three dearly and we are sad to see them move, but so happy for the great opportunities that are ahead for them, and a good reason to road trip!

This is K, he is an absolute doll and by far my favorite baby to hold, since I started to like holding babies.

Oh, I love baby toes. They are the best kind of toes.

These two love this little guy so much. And he makes them laugh.

What a little man this one is. I am sure he is going to grow up to be such a handsome guy!
